What is a NGO Committee on Substantive Issues?
A NGO Committee on Substantive Issues is a NGO Committee that is established under the auspices of the Conference of NGOs (CoNGO) in order to promote and facilitate collective work among NGOs on substantive issues related to programmes, policies and activities of the United Nations system. These committees may organise activities which provide opportunities for NGOs to debate such issues, to articulate their views,

Full Membership in the Committee consists of NGOs having consultative status with the United Nations through the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and CoNGO membership who are willing to include the spiritual and values dimension in their work and policies.
